What's New This Year?
This year, to complete the program children only need to read the number of hours matching their age (e.g., a 5-year-old would complete the program and receive their rewards after reading and logging five (5) hours.
Teens 13+ and adults: read 12 hours to complete the program.
But don't stop there: participate in our Reader's Choice Awards, cast your vote, and help us select the summer's best books!
Little Elm Public Library's Summer Reading Program is open to participants of all ages. Parents and caregivers can count time spent reading to children, and groups and families can sign up and count time spent reading together. (To receive individual prizes, time spent reading must be logged for each individual).
What Counts: Reading books, e-books, magazines, comics, and graphic novels, and listening to audio-books.
Reading at least 20 minutes per day will help you quickly reach your goal!
